As if Ben Zobrist’s week wasn’t been memorable enough with clinching a World Series title very early Monday morning and an epic championship parade in downtown Kansas City on Tuesday, he caps it off with the birth of his third child on Friday.

Questions arose as to whether or not Zobrist would take any paternity leave during the World Series but his wife, Julianna, encouraged him to keep playing.

Zobrist, acquired by the Royals from the Oakland Athletics on July 28, played in 83 games for the Royals and is now a free agent. He and his wife chose to commemorate their brief time with the Royals by naming their new bundle of joy Blaise Royal Zobrist.

“What do you name a little girl that so politely waited for the World Series to be won by her daddy?” Julianna posted on Facebook Friday night. “Then so sweetly thanked 800,000 fans at a parade, and the next day hung on while her family packed up and moved back home to Nashville? And then, in a brilliant finish, came to meet the world and say hello the day her mommy’s new single “Alive” is released? You call her a miracle. Or, we call her BLAISE ROYAL ZOBRIST”
